Why We Should Be Asking How The Narrative Shifted From COVID To Ukraine Literally Overnight
While the shift in media narrative is obvious to many, there are more sinister techniques at play. If we don’t realize how they are being used against us, the entire world will eventually be putty in the hands of those pulling the strings.

Damascus, Syria — On Monday, Syria’s state media announced that Israel launched a missile attack on the country’s capital city of Damascus. According to Syria’s official SANA news agency, Israel carried out the attack about 5am (03:00 GMT) on Monday. Not surprisingly, nothing is trending on Twitter and there aren’t any major reports from corporate media outlets decrying the attack which killed civilians.
This attack on Monday was one of many attacks by Israel against Syria since the start of the year. Israel, with the backing of the United States, has attacked the sovereign nation of Syria at least 7 times since Jan. 1 and like this attack, there is no outrage.
Like the Russian/Ukraine conflict, Syria and Israel have a long history of war with each other going back decades. They have fought each other in three major wars: the 1948 Arab Israeli War, the 1967 Six-Day War, and the 1973 Yom Kippur War.
Just as Russia backed the rebels in Ukraine’s Donbass region, Israel has chosen a side in Syria’s civil war in 2011 and it is not the side of Syrian president Bashar al-Assad. Just like Putin became wary of NATO weapons placed along the borders of Russia, Israel expressed similar concerns with Iran and Hezbollah moving weapons into Syria along Israel’s borders.
Short of the brutal invasion by Russian troops in the Ukraine, the conflicts have played out in a similar manner, yet most people in the West couldn’t care less. Why is that?
Why is it that the West is also silent on the brutal and far worse Saudi war in Yemen which has reached genocidal heights since it began 7 years ago? Why hasn’t Big Tech moved to censor the Saudi regime given its extensive violation of human rights in its own country and the wholesale slaughter of innocent civilians abroad?
It certainly has a lot to do with the fact that Ukraine is a mostly white country and journalists, media experts, politicians, and world leaders have no problem taking to their pulpits to point this out.
CBS News senior correspondent in Kiev Charlie D’Agata said last week that. “This isn’t a place, with all due respect, like Iraq or Afghanistan that has seen conflict raging for decades. This is a relatively civilized, relatively European – I have to choose those words carefully, too – a city where you wouldn’t expect that or hope that it’s going to happen”…….
“It’s very emotional for me because I see European people with blonde hair and blue eyes being killed every day with Putin’s missiles and his helicopters and his rockets,” Ukraine’s former deputy general prosecutor, David Sakvarelidze said.
The coverage has gotten so one-sided that the Arab and Middle Eastern Journalists Association (AMEJA) have since called on “all news organizations to be mindful of implicit and explicit bias in their coverage of the war in Ukraine.”
So why is it that the very people who claim to stand against racism and injustice in the West all of the sudden care about war — only now that it is white people involved?
Where are the woke social justice warriors and why are they not donning the flag of the Yemen or Syrian people in their Twitter bios like they are with the Ukrainian flag?
While racism is certainly a major role in this bias, there is something else happening as well. This is evident by the fact that the citizens taking up arms in Ukraine are labelled as “heroes” by the corporate press and the same folks defending their land in Yemen are called “terrorists” by the same people.
This is de facto narrative control and the dehumanization of entire populations for political gain. Simply put, the West, especially the United States, needs Saudi Arabia in its corner — so the mainstream must represent this desire.
In short, it is a means of mind control and it has become glaringly obvious to those who are paying attention. Just one month ago, COVID hysteria ran rampant through the mainstream press and as a result, through the population. While the high death toll and hospitalization numbers have certainly decreased, the data essentially line up with last year’s decline around the same time.
Yet here we are. People are trading out masked face emojis for Ukrainian flags and responding in similar fashion as they did during the pandemic. Anyone who spoke out against mandatory vaccines (even if they were vaccinated) was deemed and antivaxxer. Now, anyone who offers up facts about the Russian invasion (even while decrying Putin as a tyrant and supporting the Ukrainian people), is a Putin puppet.
Most people are entirely unconcerned and largely unaware of this shift in outrage and that is quite concerning. Millions of people were convinced — to the point of banning Russian cats and even disabled Russians from the Paralympics — that the Russian people are their enemy, almost overnight, and no one is asking why or how that happened.

I’ll leave you with a quote from the nephew of Sigmond Freud — Edward Bernays, known as the father of propaganda, who literally wrote the book on how to carry out such massive shifts in public consciousness. It is not a secret, nor a conspiracy theory as he was sought out by governments for decades to spin wars, policy, and public opinion. Despite his death in 1995, at 103, his tactics live on.
“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. …We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society. …In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons…who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind.” – Edward Bernays, from his book Propaganda

I’ve been screaming this at the top of my lungs for years…no one is listening…everyone is in a trance. It’s unbelievable how easily people are manipulated and brainwashed. I’ve lost many friends over the last two years because of their sheer lack of understanding, ignorance, arrogance, and blind faith in what was being said. It’s truly shocking. The people in power know very well how to use psychology against the general public.
