Michio Kaku: “The Moon Is NOT What You Think!”

Renowned theoretical physicist Michio Kaku has sparked fresh debate with a statement that’s as provocative as it is mysterious: “The Moon is not what you think!” While he has long been a vocal proponent of space exploration, Kaku’s latest remarks hint at deeper, more hidden truths surrounding our celestial neighbour.

For decades, scientists and the public alike have wondered why, after the monumental success of Apollo 11 in 1969 and subsequent missions up to 1972, humanity seemingly lost interest in the Moon. According to Kaku, the answer might not be as straightforward as budget cuts or shifting priorities. “There are anomalies on the Moon we still can’t explain,” Kaku said during a recent discussion. “We’ve only scratched the surface — literally and figuratively.”

Why Haven’t We Returned?

Despite huge leaps in aerospace technology, we haven’t put a human on the Moon in over 50 years. Why? Kaku suggests it may not be due to lack of capability, but rather, something — or someone — discouraging a return. “You must ask yourself, with all our technological advancement, why has it taken so long to even consider going back?” he asked. “There are secrets on the lunar surface — and beneath it — that haven’t been fully disclosed.”

Indeed, even the U.S. Department of Defence has released UFO-related footage and acknowledged phenomena it cannot explain. Kaku has openly speculated that the Moon may harbour remnants of ancient extraterrestrial technology — or even serve as a surveillance outpost. “It’s possible,” he said, “that the Moon was never just a rock orbiting Earth. It might have been put there. And if it was, we need to ask: by whom, and for what purpose?”

China’s Lunar Ambitions Raise Eyebrows

Kaku also praised China’s recent robotic lunar mission, which successfully returned samples to Earth — making it the third nation to do so, after the U.S. and Soviet Union. However, he noted that China’s rapid progress may not just be a feat of engineering, but the result of quietly uncovered lunar data, possibly shared by insiders or derived from ancient records.

“China is not just chasing history,” Kaku remarked. “They’re uncovering something up there. Something we’ve perhaps known since the early Apollo days — but have kept under wraps.”

He even suggested that the secrecy around certain Apollo mission findings could explain why several astronauts, including Edgar Mitchell and Buzz Aldrin, have made cryptic statements about extraterrestrial encounters and odd lunar structures.

Are We Being Watched?

Kaku pointed to reports from astronauts who witnessed strange lights or objects shadowing their lunar journeys. “They weren’t hallucinating,” he said. “We now have enough corroborating data, from lunar orbiters to radar anomalies, to suggest something is there — and it’s monitoring us.”

Some theories propose that the Moon could be hollow, or at least partially constructed, due to its unusual seismic responses and perfect positioning to cause solar eclipses. “These aren’t accidents of nature,” Kaku claims. “They point to intention.”

A New Era of Disclosure?

With the U.S., China, India, and private companies like SpaceX preparing lunar missions in the coming years, Kaku believes we may be on the cusp of the greatest disclosure in human history. “We may soon learn that we are not alone — and that the Moon has been a silent witness, or participant, in that story all along.”

As more nations set their sights on the Moon, the truth may finally begin to emerge — a truth that, if Kaku is right, could rewrite everything we thought we knew about our place in the cosmos.

It was a shared mission of the United States and Russia to the Moon near the Delporte crater. William and the other astronaut recorded their activities on the Moon on film. Including exploring a cigar-shaped ship in the Delporte crater. Inside they found glass tubes along the walls with tiny biped skeletons (a few centimetres high).”
