Nuclear weapons are probably the most terrible invention of mankind. From 1945 to 1996, more than 2000 tests were carried out. For military purposes, nuclear bombs were used twice: in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The most powerful charge ever detonated was the Tsar bomb (58.6 Mt). All this is well-known information, as well as the fact that nuclear tests were carried out on the ground and underground, in the ocean and in the atmosphere. Much less is known about explosions in space.
